Earlier this week I was watching the tube, when I heard something that blew my mind.  One of the apostles of the Church of Scientology, John Travolta, was explaining how disappointed he is with those of us still driving trucks and living in wooden homes. 

Yea, it seems John and quite a few of the Hollywood hooters are very very concerned with the environment and the fact they we, according to them, are not putting forth the effort they think we should.  In other words, we aren’ t  meeting their expectations.  Damn. I just hate that.

So being the artistic and sensitive type that I am, I said to myself, “self” what better way to live the proper way, than to emulate the standards and style of America’s leaders.  You know, celebrities.

So strap yourself in and lets take a quick spin thru some real estate that is un-real, because friends this is how the holier than thou in Hollywood are saving the world.

John Travolta built this $2.5 million dollar Florida Scientolohouse at the end of a private runway in Ocala, Florida, which includes parking for his Boeing 707 and Gulfstream jets. Oh, and a 16-car garage.

Billy Joel’s $35 million dollar, 7 bedroom modernist Miami mansion sits on a private island … and safely away from oncoming traffic.

Oprah’s got 14 bathrooms and 10 fireplaces in this $55 mil Montecito, CA estate.

Cher’s giant Malibu mansion can be seen from space.

Now, don’t you feel bad for even having air conditioning?

Earlier this year there was considerable speculation that Gov Mark Sanford was on the “short list” for the VP slot with John McCain.

Naturally, those expectingMcCains constant companion and political buttboy, Lindsay Graham to top the list, were surprised to hear Sandfords name in the discussions.

Senator McCain….you can relax.

Alright, I’m officially tired of hearing about Christie Brinkley and her divorce from Peter Cook.

It’s obvious she has a major case of the ass regarding his behavior and I’m not defending him, BUT, there may be some blame on her part.

The moment she pushed to make the divorce proceedings public you could see a glimpse into her personality.  Not the one you see on the red carpet.  The one that lurks around the house after a few drinks and the ugly side creeps out.

Now, should he have boinked the 18 yr old? No.  Was she the perfect wife? Doubtful.

Trend, pattern, consistent, tendency inclination predilection penchant.  These are descriptive terms that point to “sameness.”  In other words consider that she has been married 4 times, divorced 3 times and on the verge of number 4.

Four different husbands, Peter Cook, Richard Taubman, Billy Joel and Jean-Francois Allaux. What is the one common thread woven thru all four marriages? Her. 

Total blame on her? No.  Partial? Difficult not see it.

I was going to do a little piece on Hollywood and “climate change” until one of my brethen from the Rise Guys (the morning show down the hall) mentioned that it had been a while since I posted anyting on Pam Anderson.

So for no apparent reason……

John McCain can stagger around the country with his “straight talk  express”, but when you listen to him you hear the same crap as you do from Senator Obama.  Both are burping up the same mess, about the same problems, with the same lame ass observations.

BUT….here is a Senator from Texas that sees a problem and speaks the truth.  I only wish I could vote for him.  HHmmm. Maybe we could trade Lindsay Graham and a dork to be named later for him.
