Its a Sorry World

June 24th, 2009 by Larry Wilson

To quote a popular country song….”God is great, beer is good, people are crazy.”

Here’s  some proof.

More people are upset that the douche bag couple “Jon and Kate” as getting a divorce, than feel bad about the passing of Ed McMahon.

A man that worked in television for well over 30 years, was a great spokesperson and showed the skill required to work on a major network program takes a back set to these two ass clowns that are making a living off her eggs, and their kids.

It’s a sorry world.

Never Again.

I own a Dodge truck and have owned a number over the years.  Based on the news yesterday, I never will again.

It became clear that the management of Chrysler – Dodge is nothing more than a group of thieves.

Tuesday they sought and received permission to terminate the franchise agreements with over 700 of its dealers.  Now another word for dealer is human being.  A human that had paid millions of dollars to Chrysler, for the privilege of selling the various product lines and standing behind the manufacturer.

How would you feel if you had paid an organization literally millions of dollars, built a dealership, hired staff and then worked to promote the very products you were licensed to sell.  THEN that same company tell you, its over, and YOU are on the hook for the vehicles, parts, and the livelihoods of all associated with your business.  By the way, they aren’t buying anything back from you and you aren’t allowed to sell what you have on the car lot.

I have no way to make any impact on this.
The fine folks in Washington took my money, gave it to the same clowns that just gave the high hard one to 25% of their dealer network and showed no concern for doing the right thing.
Again, I have no way to make any impact on this…but I do have the power to never buy another product from the thieves at Chrysler and that my friends is just what I plan to do.

NBC…the National Barrack Channel.

June 5th, 2009 by Larry Wilson

Over the past 9 years there has been a perception that many of the major new outlets, were in the bag for the democrat party.  There has been much discussion about the slant that appeared to be applied to their reporting, especially when it painted the Bush administration in a less than favorable light.

In November I mentioned that it would be interesting to see how the new regime would be treated and since then there has been less debate about fairness, as it became pretty obvious that there was a “pass” given to the new white house team.  Nominees were announced and the withdrawn for a number of unsavory reasons.  Verbal gaffes went unchallenged when delivered by the President and Vice President.

This week, as if further evidence was needed, NBC launched one of the most obvious media versions of a bl$$job I’ve ever seen.  Over two nights, they aired hour long “specials” with hard hitting investigative looks into the “Obama White House.”  The glowing profiles showed the earnest, attractive, mostly white, hard working staff.

Keep in mind the cost of a network hour and that they coughed up TWO nights of this drivel.  Now just to make sure you understood that THIS White House was different and of course better, NBC re-ran both hours as a two hour special on the third night.  A total of four hours of network time, with Brian Williams doing a verbal version of spooning with the Obama team.

I want to stress that I’m willing to bet that ALL of the well intentioned folks shown ARE hard working and are doing so at less pay than the private sector.  My source of irritation is that EVERY White House, regardless of political affiliation has been made up of the same type people, doing the same type work.  BUT, having said that, do you think there is any chance NBC would have dropped to their knees and run a Lewinsky for the Bush administration as fast as they did for this group?

Now, just in case you harbor any doubt that NBC is a butt smooching, groveling news whore, consider the most recent “payoff” they received.  NBC was given an exclusive interview with President Obama as part of this weeks world tour.  Yep, after 3 nights of coverage you get to see Tom Brokaw serve up one softball question after another, after another on the Today show.  That same interview will be replayed during the evening new with Brian Williams and of course on MSNBC all weekend.  I wonder, does NBC think Obama is doing such a bad job that he needs this level of unvarnished bulls**t, or is it just they can’t control their fawning? NBC..the National Barrack Channel.

As the sun rises in the east, it sets on GM

June 1st, 2009 by Larry Wilson

Well its Monday June 1 just after 6am and in a few hours the sun will set on General Motors.

Later this morning they will go to Federal Bankruptcy court and file the papers.

I remember President saying they were “too big to fail” and that’s why we should loan them the money.

Who else would invest over $45 billion into a company with over $1,721 billion in liabilities? Thats right, no on.  If fact if your financial advisor did that with your money, you would fire him in a heartbeat.

So here we are with a bunch of guys who have no auto experience plunking down OUR money on a failing business.  Ahh yes, the wisdom of the federal government.

The good news is that with this deal, they will still be able to use the GM logo.
Instead of General Motors, now its Government Motors.

Bitch Please!!! The closet has burt open at high school.

When an openly gay high school senior was voted prom queen at his Los Angeles high school last weekend, the school’s students and officials not only accepted it, they basked with pride in being one of the most diverse and tolerant schools in the nation.

“Tears were almost falling down my face,” said Sergio Garcia, 18, of the moment he was named prom queen at Fairfax Senior High School in Hollywood Saturday night, where he beat out eight girls for the crown. “It was a really emotional moment,” Garcia told ABCNews.com.

Hoping to pursue a career in cosmetology after his June graduation, Garcia said that the large majority the 547 seniors in his class were in support of his bid for prom queen and not prom king, the title some might deem more appropriate for a male student.

“Prom queen suited my personality the most,” said Garcia. “I need to prove to myself I could be myself.”

I read this story several times before I could comprehend it all.

Its clear to me that high school is VERY different from when I attended.
